Last April, part of the CEAD team travelled to Esmeraldas to conduct a focus group with family care professionals from different health centres in the area and from the District Directorate, in order to discuss in depth the care received by people with diabetes in the Eloy Alfaro health district.
Dr Andrea Bravo and Jessica Pinto, together with CECOMET researchers Cintia Caidedo and Monica Marquez, played an essential role in guiding these conversations, the results of which aim to improve care protocols and the quality of life of individuals with diabetes in the area.
